For those who don't know me I've never been JW but am interesting in understanding. Anyways, I was wondering when you were a practicing JW and you had to shun people, deep down how did you feel? Did you feel right in doing so or did you always know that it wasn't right? Did you ever have to shun anyone you loved and how do you cope? Sorry if this is too personal. Thanks for sharing

The day a brother died in my Hall, & the unbelievable events that followed.
by Mr Ben inthis one really freaked me out.
i was so brainwashed at the time i found a way to justify it.
i think i?ve been repressing my anger about this and now i need to vent.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist .. not of other people but of myself. Sometimes a bit on my kids (I'm really working on fixing that)

a couple more questions
by North Girl inhow long can you be a practicing witness before you are expected to be baptised?
what changes once you are baptised?
what do you have to do to become baptised?

So as long as you are not baptised it is okay to make mistakes?.. as long as you ask forgiveness, or show remorse???

2) are only men allowed to rise in position in the Hall?
3) Are young marriages encouraged?
4) are you allowed to associate (as friends or date) non JW's?
5) are kids discouraged from after school activities and if so why?
6) are the woman discouraged from working? Most I have met are not employed. just a note that I've noticed that the ones I have met are great with make up and hair (just an observation)
7) can anyone attend a convention
Thats all for now.. thanks
